Jose Bolaños, MD, is an innovator working at the intersection of medicine, technology, and cybersecurity. Jose Bolaños, MD, began his career in medicine, where accurately identifying the patient is fundamental to every diagnosis, treatment, and clinical decision. After caring for thousands of patients and developing electronic medical record technology, he recognized that the digital world had a similar but unresolved problem: passwords and traditional multi-factor authentication may verify possession of a credential or device, but they do not necessarily verify the true person. That insight led him from healthcare innovation into cybersecurity and the creation of the patented Nimbus-Key® ID platform.
Today, Dr. Bolaños leads Nimbus-T® Global in advancing security at the critical front point of entry. Nimbus-Key® ID combines True User Verification™, identity validation, biometrics, trusted-device binding, and DE-MFA® to help prevent unauthorized users from gaining access with stolen credentials or tokens.
